Arrival to the country:
-by plane: [nbsp]arrival to Budapest Liszt Ferenc International Airport. Public transport to the city:
Bus - bus number 200E commutes between Terminal 2 and „Kőbánya-Kispest” metro terminal. From the Kőbánya-Kispest metro terminal, passengers can take the M3 metro towards Újpest Központ to reach the city center.
Train - the closest train station to Budapest Airport Terminal 2 is „Ferihegy railway station” with trains operating to and from the „Nyugati railway station” in Budapest. From Terminal 2 it can be reached by bus 200E.
Taxi services - (www.fotaxi.hu) or minibus/shuttle services are also available (miniBUD is the official airport shuttle service provider (www.minibud.hu).
-by train: international trains arrive to the main 3 railway stations of the capital where 3 metro stations can be easily reached: „Keleti Pályaudvar” (metro line M2 and M4), „Nyugati Pályaudvar” (metro line M3) and „Déli Pályaudvar” (metro line M2).
-by bus: international buses arrive to „Népliget” bus station: (address: 1091 Budapest, Üllői út 131.) The station is also a terminal (named Népliget) on metro line M3 from where the other part of the city can be easily reached.

Approaching Lillafüred from Budapest:
The Ministry of Agriculture will provide a limited number of shuttle bus transfers to take participants from the Budapest Keleti railway station or airport to Lillafüred, provided that requests for transport are timely communicated to the Secretariat of the Carpathian Convention and supplemented by travel details given when registering for the meeting. A shuttle bus Budapest - Lillafüred is considered for the evening on 9. October (to allow participation at the excursion) and in the morning on 10. October. Return to Budapest is planned after the closure of the COP5 meeting on 12. October.

By car:
From Budapest get the direction towards Miskolc on motorway M3, the distance between the two city is around 190 km, the motorway route constitutes 170 km.
By train:
The journey by train takes approx. 2-2,5 hours from „Budapest Keleti Pályaudvar” to "Miskolc-Tiszai pályaudvar" and it runs almost every 30 minutes. More detailed information can be found on the Hungarian railways website – Mav (https://www.mavcsoport.hu/en).
After arriving to the Miskolc train station, please take the tram Nr.1 until the end station ("Felső Majláth"). There please change for bus Nr.5 or 15, and get off at the "Palotaszálló" bus stop. Taxi services are also available at a price of approx. 20 EUR.
By scheduled long distance bus:
From „Stadion bus station” in Budapest buses go to Miskolc. In Miskolc change for bus Nr.5 or 15, and get off at the "Palotaszálló" bus stop (as indicated above). You find hotel at the bus stop "Palotaszálló". The bus departs every 30 minutes, and it takes 10-15 minutes to get to the hotel.
